Course Description:

Techniques for successfully teaching and coaching individual sports. This class will focus on the sports of Golf and Tennis

 

Topics will include, but are not limited to, general rules, history of each sport, skill development, and strategies behind forming practices and preparing for games.

 

Grading:

 

Final grades for the class will be assigned using a 10 point grading system

                        A- 100% - 90%

                        B- 89% - 80%

                        C- 79% - 70%

                        D- 69% - 60%

                        F- 59% - 0%

 

Students will be evaluated subjectively using exams, written papers, class participation, attendance and skills evaluation.

 

Attendance:

Attendance is mandatory. Absences will be excused only with regard to university policy. Class attendance will be taken daily.

 

Cheating:

Any student guilty of cheating will fail the class and that student will be subject to additional disciplinary action by the university. Cheating is presenting work that is not your own, such as copying from another student’s assignment, plagiarism (copying the language, ideas or thoughts of another and passing them off as your own), or allowing someone to use your work as theirs.
